J'écoute ça, et ça me fait penser à Beck dans Paper Tiger. Même genre de minimalisme, avec guitare sale qui riff sans vraiment aller quelque part... Un jam quoi! Je comprends maintenant l'inspiration de Beck. Et oups, de la symphonie!!! Beck, Sea Change: Paper Tiger, c'est Gainsbourg et Melody Nelson! Peut être pas tout à fait la même signification par contre...

It always makes me simultaneously laugh and hang my head when all my American friends who know all these obscure indie bands and do their best to bolster their credibility in non-mainstream rock music and their snobbery have no f**king clue who the hell Serge Gainsbourg is. I guess "music against the mainstream" for them still lists "English lyrics" as a prerequisite.

Look up the Review: From LA Times Serge Gainsbourg Tribute at Hollywood Bowl August 28, 2011 Histoire de Melody Nelson” was performed in its entirety for the evening’s sweeping finale.

We were there what a great show!!!! Got the poster after the show ,and last week at Bumbershoot the artist was there... selling the poster,,, had I know would have gotten it signed.
