This toy theatre version of The Red Tree, a picture book by Australian artist Shaun Tan, was created by second-year students in the Department of Drama and Theatre at Royal Holloway, University of London as part of a course on the heritage of toy theatre in the UK and internationally, taught by Dr Matthew Isaac Cohen. The Red Tree was performed to the public at the Handa Noh Theatre on 6 December 2010. Performers are Cole Campbell, Elizabeth Cooper and Oliver Gordon; the sound and lighting operator is Kim Williams.

LOVE the opening - ingenius to have them do it like a TV or monitor and 'wonder' why it doesn't work, then segue into being performer of the toy theatre... - Wonderful! :)
