  • His Chopin Ballade 4 recorded in 1960's for 'The conoisseur Society' label is without doubt the finest ever on disc. He is such a great artist.

  • His recordings of the Nocturnes are my favorites.

  • I love how you hear ALL the layers of sound. He is magnificent!

  • I studied the Chopin Ballade no. 1 with Moravec in Dublin in 1989 and the details of these classes remain with me still.Thankyou Ivan Moravec!

  • I totally agree. He is the Chopin Interpretative Champion of all time.

  • Moravec is one of a kind...a consumate interpreter of Chopin. His recordings of Chopin's Nocturnes are truely the finest. A materful work of art. Moravec rocks!!!

  • Just saw him on Friday in Kansas City. I loved his interpretation of the Chopin ballades.

  • the documentarian is crap and doesn't do the pianist any justice

  • I love Moravec's playing. So many great ones are gone now...Horowitz, Arrau, Rubinstein, Richter, Bolet, Michelangeli...we are so fortunate Moravec is still with us. He is very much of the stature of the piano masters I just mentioned, in my opinion. He is a wonderful Chopin pianist, and if you've never heard his recording of the Schumann Concerto, big, borrow or steal one! Or catch it on YouTube, if it's here
