Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing as I watched this. The concept wasn't explored very creatively (example:  the smoking and sex reference) and the appeal at the end also wasn't funny. Interesting idea, poorly executed.

Rusty and Jerome got such a huge Pop! This is Satire folks. It was Great to see the Friendly Giant Puppets again. I could see it being wrong for kids to see it. But as an Adult its just funny and it's cool to see what some old friends are up to these days. We miss all the great characters from our youth.

Bob ( The Friendly Giant ) Homme's family was so pissed off about this sketch they removed Rusty and Jerome from the Growing Up Canadian Museum at the CBC. 

They felt this was disrespectful to the memory of their father and his creations.

ok first of all, THESE ARE PUPPETS!!!

anyone who owns the rights or whatever are OLD and therefore old-fashioned. If they have a problem with this it is because they are old and old fashioned. Get with the times!

This was hilarious!

I grew up with all those shows and I had no idea the puppets still existed... as far as I was concerned, they were recycled into kitchen gloves!This skit was great;there should be more.

Here is an idea, stop wasting time and energy on a puppet skit and direct it to something like poverty or our health care system. People are so fucked up!

Kind of interesting how that girl puppet wants to give that man puppet fellatio. A funny and disturbed skit. I can understand why the Friendly Giant family was a "bit" upset. It's silly, immature fun.
