That is a beautiful purple indeed. I agree, it should be switched over to pre-killed prey. I was fortunate to come across one many years ago and now is a gorgeous 21 footer.

Once I gave a rat to my snake, and I thought that it ate it, but it did not. They lived in the same place for sometimes, they slept together, and the rat ate snake's shit. When I saw the rat was still alive I was very surpriced, I understood it had been dead for a week. Then the vet explaned that my python doesn't eat rats, but mice, and he said that they slept together because my snake found it warm... Strange...

Nice purple. Have you switched it over to frozen, yet?
Beautiful baby. And an expensive baby, one of the rarer morphs. Much too rare to risk by feeding live prey. Frozen/thawed are much safer and disease free.
Also, retics should be fed in their enclosure, not in a separate tub. The feeding response is very strong in this species. They can reach eight or more feet the first year. You don't want to be moving a big snake still in feeding mode between cages.
Enjoy your baby. I think they are the prettiest of snakes.

If you don't have access to f/t, you can try stunning the live prey so it is not able to hurt you snake.
