Life As A Learner Driver - Its always dangerous teaching people to drive but not for the reasons you would expect. Its the qualified drivers that give me the heebie jeebies.
Waiting to turn right at a traffic light controlled crossroads. Our light is initially red but the green filter comes on and we start to move. The fact that our filter light is on means that oncoming traffic has a red light but the Fiesta doesn't seem to see it and ploughs through the junction. Emergency stop time. I don't think the oncoming car was jumping the red light but just did not see it.
Sorry about the rain on the windscreen, my priority was just to get the learner moving again, a) so they can't think about it too much and get scared and b) we are pretty exposed in the middle of the junction.
What would you have done in this situation? Eg. Blown horn, flashed lights or even given way? Please comment with your thoughts.
Thanks for watching and as usual in all my clips a novice is at the controls of my car.
@arushandapushand Thanks for your comment. I agree with you, blowing the horn is useless as well as illegal, and the key is just to carry on as if nothing had happened.

I guess blowing the horn would be illegal (rule 112).
After you had seen the Fiesta and stopped you were no longer in any danger, so beeping the horn would have simply been agressive/angry.
Isn't the key to assume that other drivers are idiots, and not to be surprised when mistakes happen? Just carry on.
Like when you're a cyclist, you pretend that you're invisible to drivers . So you're not shocked when they don't see you.
