Peter was a great actor. He managed to improvise this great bit without dropping out of character for a SECOND. Sinatra showed he was no mean actor either, playing right along. TV magic!

Great video. Laughed the whole time. I heard this was all improvised at the last minute. My mom and I used to watch columbo when I was a kid. The only person alive today on that stage is don rickles the king of mean. He's the voice of mr potato head in toy story.

I've just started watching Columbo myself. Great series. I've only seen Peter Falk on The Great Muppet Caper and The Princess Bride.
