@friend2animals66 Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Lowes has a really decent 2 story shed which is very similar, but more affordable. Very good idea for cheap, decent housing. I think the one they had was around $8,000.....and I like it's layout more.

@LadyCAB This model is called the "New Day". The sku number is 724-196. The brochure says call 1-800-218-4100. This particular stlye of shed comes in sizes from 16x16 to 18x20. I hope that helps. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for watching.

Yeah that construction would not cost anywhere that much as having it pre-built, installed. . . With the materials of building (insulated, professionally wired and dry walled) the cost would be in the park of 5k I'm thinking. Good idea is a real small corner kitchen area that's just enough for little tasks and adding a wood stove. I did notice some skimpiness on details like stairs etc. in this model, those need some reinforcing. That would be an awesome retreat though!

I guess you just put it on the property and don't worry about building codes. We aren't allowed to put those here without one

@polarbeach In my area, if it is a "portable" shed, you are allowed to have one put on your property(no permitting required). If you wanted to build the same thing and make it with a foundation(151sq. ft or larger) then you need a permit. Always check your local building codes.
