@XmortdreadX Well Ive had an Asus monitor for only a few days and am debating weather to keep it or not. Has the same problem that 99% of all monitors have these days which is back light bleeding. Uneven levels of light and dark throughout the screen. Pisses me off when I can look at a much smaller and older LCD monitor that came with an older computer back in 2005 and it handles its lighting better. I have no idea why almost every brand is plagued with this sort of crap now a days.
@PhreshGaming yeah, kinda like how cell phones used to be unbreakable, now you have to worry about dropping them from 1 foot above ground
as for the ecreens, i didnt get the 2511x, got a ve247, and it sucks, tell me if you find a good looking one (sense apparently the 2511x isnt too good)
@XmortdreadX Well its actually the static contrast that matters. Dynamic contract ratios dont apply to how dark the image can get which has an impact on color reproduction. Most LCD monitors only have a static contrast ratio of around 750 - 1000. Im in the market for a monitor myself and it seems like every brand has its share of problems. What ever happened to building things that last.
im getting a hp 2511x, friend has one, works so great, and from the contrast ratio from this monitor (2m :1) i think ill LOVE the 3m:1 ratio it has the ms 2 vs 5 i dont care much for, but as it goes for both of them, $250-350 is one hell of a buy compared to apples shit
I have this monitor for 3 months. There is only one setback. I had to replaca, 80% of my video files (728x444 is minimal res.) to match this display. Another sad thing: try to run Crysis in full hd on GF9800 GTX+. Bwhahahahahah!! I must buy new GPU :(
