Ramayan 3392 AD

In an age of desolation and darkness when the world is dying from the curse that men inflicted upon themselves, a great epic shall take place once again. The spawn of the final destruction that decimated earth wills to carve the world to his own soulless image; he is Ravan the master of the half living race of Asuras. His armies marches across the world invading one land after another and poisoning the earth with his vile mechanoids. But there is hope still and it lies in Ayodhya, the last vestige of the race of humans, a gleaming city that boasts the finest of warriors -- Kshatriyas. But even Ayodhya has been infected by the evil that spreads across the world like a contagion, and the prime victim is Rama, the first born of the Maharaj or chief councilor of Ayodhya.

By treachery Rama is exiled from his land, but in the course of his travels he finds out the true meaning to his existence: he has to become the scourge of the Asuras and the protector of the daughter of earth. Thus begins Rama's journey across the kingdoms, lands and continents, the quest to retrieve the soul of the planet and cleansing of the world of a malevolent darkness that threatens to engulf it.

A) I don't care about the ramayan and

b) It's not filled with foolish melodrama and "spice" it's what history becomes, it's rewritten again and again and again.

c) Every book is melodramatic considering your point of view- Bible, Quran, Granths, Geeta everything is perpetuated beyond belief BUT that does not mean it's all Bull, might be a little childish but there is difference is perspective

@Kakashi2000raikiri "Ramayana is NO FAIRY TALE". so ??What's wrong in creating a fairy tale version of it?Whats so wrong in interpreting it as bedtime story?If you think thats dumbness,you must also know that this so called dumbness has made Ramayan GLOBALLY FAR MORE POPULAR than it used to be before.And by no means the essence of the original epic had been ruined.Children in schools are still taught from the epic, not from the comic..Historians still do research on the epic, not the comic.

@AwesomeShamik Source on this info? As per IMDB it still says it's in development, and nothing I've searched has said they've pulled the plug on it. If it is gonna be out by 2011, I'd think we'd have heard more about it, but just because it's in development hell doesn't mean that there's no chance it'd coming out.

@paras139 1st Ramayana isn't ur private property, 2nd u aren't gonna tell me how to love, respect and worship god/belief/whatever(hell, u sound like some pujari, maulvi or some religious guru who keeps on forcing us to love god in some particular way, there way actually) and 3rd u weren't born along with that hunk of a guy "RAMA"(as portrayed in this comic) and hence have no idea how he looked and how much advanced that race was. so stop posting stupid comments as if u own Ramayana.
