where are the birds on the tail lights? or is that a different year for that
johrons 1 year ago
@johrons They are there. The '77-'78 had larger birds that were a seperate piece fom the lens. '79 had them molded into the lens and then chrome plated. The chrome got crappy looking, so I sanded the rest of it off. So, now the birds are hiding.

How much power does that 460 put out? I know that GM's 454's always had close to 300hp, I'm going to assume the 460 has about 300 too.

The emissions pretty much strangled the big-blocks in the 70's. The 460 dropped as low as 195 or so in the mid '70s. They can be brought back to life with a few easy tricks and still be very reliable and run on 87 octane. Mine is estimated to be 300hp @ 4100rpm & 425lb.ft. @ 2200rpm.

Most fords from that era are notorious for rusting out. My grand father had a 79 marquis brand new and 3 years later it had so much bondo it wasnt funny. Is that car on a frame or Unibody?

They are body-on-frame '77-'79, and unibody from 1980 and up.
