Answer to 2nd question also applies to dota. 4 people pick carrys and i have to work my titties off to try to win a game by supporting some nap gondar who has 1/12 score.

I dont know why playing carry is so fun. I feel much better when i see i have 20+ assists with earthshaker then when i steamroll some naps with barathrum. . .

@pwookie The reality is you play a game where 90% of the players are irrational. People expect you to be good but there are also people who can't swallow their pride and accept criticism.

@ChromaAurora That's why you have to get good at all the roles before you start playing ranked. In normals, many times team comp doesn't really matter because people just pick whatever. TB is referencing ranked (talking about them having lowest ELO, last pick, etc), in which you shouldn't be playing unless you're comfortable with ANY role.

So, if LoL and similar games have an optimum formula to fight enemy teams with, which is the lesser of two evils- playing a team-necessary role you aren't good at, or playing an unnecessary role that you excel at?

Hmmm... Dota, eh?.. That's why I don't play those games, as well as MMORPGs and any other Multiplayer games... I don't want to care about anyone else's FUN. I don't want to compete, as well as I don't want to cooperate. Period.

i used to play all random, easy mode on DOTA. A fast game with no one complaining about meta setup except for little bitches that quits at start. It was all good since we had shared banlist to tell us who these people usually are. Too bad LOL doesn't have that feature. Instead, it has an ignore list which I never use.
