I made the Barista's Nightmare from a Bunn ES-1A espresso machine I purchased that was damaged in shipping. It was a fun project and actually works.

very impressive machine, and the thing you need to change is de diameter of the injector which is way too wide, it needs a 0.8mm injector, the water is coming too fast. i like all the meters you put on it, really espresso freak overkill he he he
i made a machine myself, you can find it on youtube with "homemade espresso machine" search. its made with a Faema E61 grouphead. I used a PID regulator with a K-thermocouple and a digital readout on the grouphead.

Now to fashion yourself an LED source to light the pour! Hahaha. Seriously, very nice work on the machine. If my machine goes kaput, I'd do the same :-)

Impressive. You really know your espresso architecture, components, plumbing, electronics and process. Wow. I would not call this a nightmare. It's a work of art.

@Johanvideo525 I use this machine every day for my espresso fix. The temperature stability and shot quality is much better now that I added three PID controllers to manage the various temperatures.
