This is part 1 of a 4-part series on the "hats" of visual artist Eugene James Martin entitled "Eugene Martin makes his home where he hangs his hat. Part 1. In Living Color". Most of the photographs are self-portraits taken by Eugene Martin. The works of art shown were created in the 1960'-1990' in Washington D.C., Chapel Hill NC, and Lafayette Louisiana (LA).
