This is not the usual type of fire alarm system that i am used to here in Minnesota. It is not perfect. I do think a strobe or light of some kind would be a good idea. The use of a man and a womans voivce is also wise. My Grand mother as had 2 hearing aids long than I have been alive. I am in my late 30's. So the combination would probibly allow her to hear it. Thanks for the posting I found it enlightening.
