LOL @1:33 Meow!
Tip - when climbing a hill, you should drop a little further back off the rider you're following. The reason is that if they go from seated to climbing out of the saddle, their bike may move backwards relative to the pace line by about a foot or more. If you're following closely, you may collide with their wheel and fall.

I did the Austin TX to Shiner TX 100 mile ride yesterday and had to draft for the last 30 miles or so because I was so unprepared. When drafting I could hold up 19.5 mph pace with the group. I was going about 10 when not in the group because I was so wore out.

IF you need drafting all the time you're clearly not the strongest rider for a timetrial or so.

yeah, well explained. Now I just have to get out there and do it.
if I get closer than 30cm is it okay or is it bad ?

@cheesybeef1 - As long as you have the skill and experience to handle it's then no problem - however you may get no extra benefit from being closer, you'll just have to be more aware to stay safe. Usually when you're drafting like this you'll be going fast so you need to be very aware not only of what the rider in front is doing but also the other conditions - like what is going on up ahead.
Hope that helps
