The diner scene was originally how the movie ended - the C.H.U.Ds crash through the restaurant windows followed by fade to black (at least on the VHS copy). Has anyone seen the theatrically released version of this film? If you have, enlighten me about the ending.

@giallohorror I highly agree now at these days alot of horror just purely sucks ass. chud along with other films like street trash 1987 and creature 1980 will also be missed. But for me giallo horror is the best argento is my mentor.

I would question how someone like Wilson could be this stupid. Then I remember he works for the government and suspension of belief is restored.

This is a BRILLIANT point. It's something that a lot of today's horror film directors forget. Films like "Black Christmas" (1974) and "Halloween" (1978) don't show a ton but what you envision is much scarier. Same could be said with Texas CHainsaw Massacre. You think it's really violent, but there's barely any blood.
Films like CHUD are BRILLIANT and sorely missed today
