Thousands Surround White House Protesting Keystone XL Pipeline

Thousands come out to surround the White House to protest the Keystone XL pipeline on November 6th, 2011. Obama alone has the power to stop this pipeline from being built which would release a carbon bomb representing some of the dirtiest fossil fuels on the planet in the form of Canadian Tar Sands. @53dumey It's not hard to figure out. Tar sands oil produces 2-3 times more carbon than conventional oil. This carbon released into the atmosphere is raising temperatures. Therefore, if you want your kids to live in a more comfortable world we should stop promoting sources of even more intensive carbon. Watch more Democracy Now! and less Fox News.

How is One pipeline gonna compete with that ???

If you're so worried about carbon in the Air, consider airlines that belech out Thousands of Tons of the stuff and stop worrying about something that can produce Jobs.

@rider4343 Do you have any idea how easy it would be to switch fuels? And it is VERY IMPORTANT that we do this QUICKLY we have two options one is corn fuel ethanol and the other is hemp based. Completely renewable resource and more efficient than oil. We are going to use up all of the earths oil and then its GONE gota wait another 3525235 years or something just to get it back. And to be honest oil is only the rich mans "blood line"... you don't know what you are talking about. end of story.
