Using the Glass Crusher, it can be possible to use your left-over fusing glass scraps to create your own custom frit. If you need a custom colour, or only require a small amount of frit for your fusing project, this tool is fantastic. This handy tool allows you to control the size of your frit -- from coarse, medium, fine, or super-fine! You can buy the Glass Crusher in-store or online at http://www.prairiestainedglass.mb.ca/Details.cfm?ProdID=224&category=20

  • Thanks for the suggestion "TheWeezee11."

"Cheo1414", we do not know anybody who has successfully used this frit for pottery glazes. But, you don't know until you try!

  • That technique has been called "Raku Glass" there are books out on it

  • Why not put a plastic bag over the entire unit and after you have finished just let it set for a few minutes and then no glass dust when you take it apart? Seems that would save your eyes from glass dust and you wouldn't inhale it either. :)

  • Hello, Would I be able to use this frit in a glaze for pottery?

  • Wear a mask. Do it outside so you don't get glass dust where u live. I bought a blender at a resale shop for 4$ that will crush glass into a fine powder.
