  • No matter how hard these outdated preachers try to hold on to the sheeple congregations, the truth shall prevail and eventually they will lose those cadillacs they drive with the tithe money provided by sleepers with no clue as to what truth is due to the crap pumped out of the pulpits. The peculiar that rebel against the darkness and lack of knowledge are rising to higher levels of truth. This is a contageous peircing light and no stone shall be left unturned. WAKE UP TO THE REAL TRUTH!

We do reinterpret the bible as scientific discoveries show up, and scientist don't bother with researching the bible same as they dont bother with researching philosophy or literature. If they would that would make them bible scholars, philosophers or professors of literature.

there was no scientific community back then but philosophical community.

secondly he was not respected inside the philosophical comunity but in the Jesuit and church community.

third , he was a lay man considering the bible.

fourth , the theory was a hypothesis, with some evidence but still a hypothesis, since the evidence for it was not enough and you had strong evidence against it.

He only showed that something else revolves around jupiter, not that earth revolves

  • When your prominent/acclaimed/endorsed scientists tell you to re-interperate or re-write your bible, then you re-interperate and re-write the bible, and send them a copy for approval. Precisely why scientists don't even bother with churches and bibles these days. It's a waste of good research time.

  • Sorry, but this is Catholic hogwash...

Firstly, theories can never be proven. Theories are a collection of facts, and since this guy said in the first part that Galileo received many letters from astronomers that confirmed his observations, the theory wasn't a hypothesis.

Secondly, this guy said in the first how respected Galileo was in the scientific community, yet now he's described as a layman.
