  • but i heard that having less carbs helps you get abs quicker?? so...wouldnt oatmeal not help you get abs?? curious...cuz i've been training to get abs for a year..and i'm barely getting results i've been doin high protein and less carbs....cuz i am tryin to really cut down my body fat percentage

  • @Nutbuster360 - good carbs are complex carbs like old fashioned oat meal. Bad carbs would be sugar, white bread, white rice, white pasta, etc. Make sure you are measuring your body fat % every 4 weeks to make sure it is going down. Most guys will see abs when their body fat % is 10% or less. A perfect meal = lean protein, complex carb, fiber + water. Make sure what you eat falls into one of those categories, otherwise skip it if you want to burn fat and get abs!

  • @HowiGotAbs ...ya i think my bodyfat is at 10 or 9 percent now sure i mean like my abs are pretty visible...yet i know they could look alot better!!....oh but i also heard that our body can only metabolize a certain percentage of carbs and protein or it will get stored into fat! is this true?

  • @Nutbuster360 The main thing to pay attention to is keep sugar very low each day. I shoot for 15g a day. I know that may seem really hard to do, but once you get into the groove of it is not that bad and you can see amazing results. In general avoid the bad carbs like white rice, white pasta, white bread, sugar, etc. Good carbs= old fashioned oatmeal, 0 sugar sprouted wheat bread, wild brown long grain rice, etc. Sugar is our worst enemy when it comes to getting abs! Keep your questions coming

  • I've always eaten Rolled oats. Are steel cut any better?

  • @Nutbuster360 you have to do lots of cardio,weight-training,and hard dieting to get results in about 4 weeks

  • @BlackRavenHU That is true, white rice is only really bad in the sense that its not really for those who want to lose weight.. Fats and vegetables will also slow digestion down ;)

  • @soldierside365 white rice in combination with meat (chicken breast for example) is a very popular meal (among people who train with weights) that "works well". i think meat slows down the digestion process so in this case white rice is not all that bad.

  • @BodyofanAngel hmmm i see...ya i have gotten my diet really good now, i'm at 7% body fat!! finally can see my abs after FOREVER!!....however its very hard to sustain. -_____- i just found that out lol

  • @Nutbuster360 ur calories play a role in your abs as well

  • whats a good daily meal plan for fat loss?

  • @023blabla

its not 'bad' but it lacks the caseing that brown rice has which means its low in fibre. its bad in the sense of weight loss because the rice would be converted to glucose quicker, and you'll spike your insulin levels causing that glucose to be stored rather than burned. also because of the lack of fibre, you digest it quicker making you feel hungry again pretty quickly.

  • Why is white rice bad?

  • Is it good to eat the oatmeal without cooking it? I'm usually on the go in the mornings so I would just make a quick shake using the above ingredients but I just want to make sure it's safe to consume raw.
