  • hey coach.

i hv a problem with my breathing.i hv tried breathing in deeply, ensuring that my chest and stomch expands more but i find it ever so stressful. I don't know how else to get more air in my lungs. could u describe how proper breathing is done so i can visualize it when im in the pool?

    thanks very vry much.

also, would u be doing any vids on other swimming styles?jst wondering.

  • There is a video on freestyle breathing on my channel. Take a look...that should help you.

  • oh ok thanks =).im sorry i jst hv one more question to ask, hope i'm not annoying you.

when i exhale,do i exhale all the air in my lungs before inhaling or exhale only half of the air?

    thanks .

  • Please refer to the other video on breathing. That should answer your questions.

  • Just found your swimming coaching vids and really like them. Thanks for the tips and keep up the good coaching!

  • Keep up the good work...take your time and don't watch the clock...Work on technique...And enjoy your swimming.

Speed will come in due time.

  • Dear Coach Evans,

Thanks for the advice on the S-shaped practice which I learned. I am trying your high elbow advice now. I am 43 years old and can only finish 50m in 43seconds. Is it a bit too slow?

  • I agree and have I believe, mentioned this within other videos.

    You're 100% correct. Thanks.

  • Well, from my experience I would say that S shape is a result of good body rotation. When our body rotates it looks like that our hand is doing some S shape but the fact is that its our body that is creating that missleading,

  • These videos are really excellent!!! Thanks coach
