Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Every wondered where your trash goes? The second your trash is tied up in a black bag and dumped into a wheelie bin, it embarks on the long and unnecessary trip to a smelly landfill where it can sit for up to 450 years before decomposing. At present South Africa is in urgent need of more space to landfill, thanks predominantly to our own wasteful practices . Government is currently reviewing new locations to establish more landfills, locations that are encroaching more and more onto residential zones. Who knows, the next time you toss rubbish into a black bin, that trip to the landfill could be a lot shorter than you think.
