Wow, this is amazing. Nandipha, one of the Earthchildren that attends Sakumlandela Primary School in Khayelitsha is an absolute inspiration!
She is one of the stalwarts of the worm farming club, initiated and run by the Earthchild Project. One of the worm farms that Earthchild sell was at the school today while I was volunteering, and I asked her to explain how it worked - see http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=329381870714&ref=mf
I then asked Xoli who that particular worm farm was for and she told that it had been given to Nandipha. Why? To thank her for coming in during the holidays to look after all the giant worm farms at the school's garden and fed the worm tea to the garden as well.
The best part is, Nandipha now goes into partnership with Earthchild and will be selling the worms that she grows back to the organisation!
(oh, in the beginning of the video Xoli gives me a little Xhosa lesson too, hehe)
