  • I perfer to use something called "Diatamatious Earth". It's just ground up diatoms (microscopic fossils) and it breaks up the flea's exoskelenton but is just a white harmless powder to us and other animals. It can be rubbed into the cat's (or other animal's fur) and it will kill the fleas. Perhaps fleas and insects will eventualy develop thicker exoskelentons (we are never going to be able to completely wipe them out) but for now this works quite well.
