Wow I love seeing this :) I saw the Mardi Gras Indians and did some research and I found a CRAZY fact.Apparently the Mardi Gras Indians were almost like gangs at one time.But now-wow they're so beautiful :)

BEAUTIFUL..thanks for keeping the light shining on this tradition of our heritage/lineage alive. With costumes rich in history... merely respecting/paying homage to Native Americans for allowing African American slaves into their society, masking in their tribes, thus assisting many in escaping to freedom....
