I understand what you mean when you said you never knew what to do on his bad days. My dad had cancer. He died Wednesday morning and I too left that Tuesday night without saying goodbye because he was sleeping and didn't want to wake him. I wish I had. I've never felt such a loss, but it's so selfish. I know he is not hurting anymore.

Sweetie- my dad has kidney failure and has been on dialysis, too. he's suffering a battle with esophageal cancer, and we know it wont' be much longer....
