During the acoustic breakdown, i have written my own bassline because there is no bassline in the original song and i didnt want to be sitting staring at the webcam waiting to come in, so i show off a little ;)

hope you enjoy

  • Nice cover mate!

  • @jos12111993 Thank you :D

  • It looks like you only play with your index finger of your right hand. How long have you been playing, and d'you ever practice with the proper technique?

  • @PulmonaryxArcher haha everone notices that lol, i can play with the proper technique but i play the way i feel most comfortable and i can do really fast sixteenth notes with my one index finger lol and i have been play 6 years.

  • I always like to hear the bass lines in some bands but sadly in the most band I dont hear bass thats why I like bass players like Cliff Burton, Jason Newsted and Paolo Jr. from Sepultura and there is one band called Mortification thier music is based on the bass guitar like leading instrument

  • @BlackMetalRaziel Tbh i have never heard of those bassists :O lol and i dont really know who my favourate bassist could be, but i really like steve grigorio from Death, and Johan defaralla from Opeth, johan only played on Opeth's first three albums but he did a wicked job. Also have you heard of a band called necrophagist, their basslines are pretty sweet tbf.

  • @Funeralmoon666 in that case, carry on :P I thought you were like... I dunno, ignorant of technique, which would've been a shame because you look like you're a damn solid bassist. the one thing I will say is that your fingerwork is a little sloppy, you slip over the fret and it's audible, it's worth practicing scales solidly to work out the little cracks in your technique, but on the whole, good stuff :]

  • @BlackMetalRaziel haha thanks man i'm glad you like it and yea i also like to improvise on other songs as well, like if there is a bass riff that is just one single note, i try and keep it interesting like changing the rhythm a bit and adding a couple notes into it that are in the same key of the song, and yea i do like that song, i'll have a go at learning it :)

  • Nice work man and you learn it so fast ,btw on the acoustic part I also improvize by playing it with distortion and sleeping few pinch harmonics from time to time, you also can try det iskala trolblodet it has cool bass intro. Cheers

  • @MikeDinze thank you and yeah finntroll are awesome, i have all their album :D
