At her best, Moffo was one of the most idiomatic and national musical phrase-makers in Italian opera. And her voice always had that tinge of sadness in it. This makes me wish Moffo had done this role in her prime. Another recording of this aria I love is Callas' from 1963. The voice is a wreck, but still she finds more music and emotion in this scene than anyone else.

Style,aplomb, audace et couleurs au service de la musique avec cette cabalette aditionnelle trés peu donnée à l'époque. Moffo aurait pu (du?) explorer bien d'avantage
le chant romantique italien elle en avait,au moins au début des années 60, la technique
et les moyens. Y a t'il quelque part un écho sonore de la version de concert d'Anna Bolena qu'elle donna à Los Angeles en novembre 1965?

This wonderfull tinge of sadness in her voice had only Mdm. Moffo. In this aria she shows us also a dramatic voice.
She was in all devine, with a voice of an angel. Very sad that she had gone.

unfortunately, this is all i have. This track came as an extra and a rarity in a Sills Recording. Maybe someone else have some more that could share.
