@psnavata if you are in the U.S. then yes you will be charged with manslaughter.As a former lawenforcment officer and a close combat self defense expert, i can tell you that under the law= selfdefense is doing anthing you can to avoid or get away from a violent encounter.If you are cornered and cannot get away then yes you can protect yourself.The best way to find out is to ask your local lawenforcement i hope i was helpful to you.

I'm definitely taking Kali lessons.
I have a few questions though, which I hope you or somebody answers:
If I got into a knife fight, i.e., defending myself (counter-offense), and hopefully I would be the more skilled fighter and kill the guy. Would I get in trouble with the law/law enforcers? If so how would I get out of trouble? Would such a case automatically be a self defense case or somebody can still charge me with murder or manslaughter or something? Thanks
