supersonic above water

I did not detect any sonic boom nor did the sailors on the deck react to a sonic boom. If the sound barrier is broken, there is a BOOM. A boom as close as this aricraft was to the ships would have knocked some people down and there would have been a reaction. The aircraft show here was sub sonic. The water surface was disturbed by the proximity of the aircraft engines and the disturbance of the surrounding air by its passage.

that is not super sonic

Fast, but I don't think supersonic. High speed makes it's engines impossible to hear until it just about reaches the camera, and anyone who has heard a jet go past under power can tell u how loud it is. So, suddenly, loud sound, but not boom. Sonic boom shockwave would have made these ships pretty unhappy, I think. I think the proof is that as the plane goes by, we see no afterburners. Most planes, and I think F-14s are no exception, need afterburners for supersonic cruise at sea level.

That's a myth, it's really not much different than hearing thunder up close.
