Yeah, I snowboard for the image and the status! It's one of the rare sports where you can go out to a chain store and purchase chinese products that will give you a superhero image. After you buy the gear, all you have to do is be disrespectful and say fuck a lot in every sentence. If it weren't for Jake Carpenter, I would have been your average geek. Thanks to the X Games, I'm super cool!

Thats just painful! I went snowboarding two weeks this season, and didnt get the chance to whip it out! Snow conditions werent optimal :( Better luck next season I guess.

Of course my collegues who went 2 weeks ago told me the powder was great for them, go figure!

life is short man. you can't do this when you get old! you better get some next year or ill steal your kick ass swallowtail!

it's a bitch shooting in low light and in the snow with all the contrast. i may try a warming filter next time and take off the ND filter while pulling the gain down.

If you want a pretty good kit already to record check out the VIO. It's just as good as this but way way more expensive than making one for yourself.

i made it out of parts and some kit stuff. i used to shoot for a living with an iki hl 55 so i knew a bit about ccd's and didn't like what they had commercially for sale. i used a sony CCD 700lpi and soldered it to give yc color separation so i could use an s video cable for the connection and power it is coupled to an small HD camera that I trashed during the fire season. the ccd on the camera fried due to heat but the deck still worked. so i used it for this. still working out the gain.
