The Dynasty Discolite aka the Holy Grail of Boomboxes. This bad boy is crazy and the best feature is the led lights that light up with the music. These were made in the USA by a company called Skitronic in 1987 and are very sought after now-a-days. This ghettoblaster was featured in music videos like Madonna's 'Hung Up' and 'Just Dance' by Lady GaGa

most likely from a private collector, you could be waiting a year or two to get one from some one that is in your country. or never in the uk. here is the first one i seen on ebay from the states this year.

there is on on ebay right now under "vela discolite" in the states

Hi,

What edition of this classic discolite boombox has the gold coloured edges around the speakers?. Is it called a 'Vela'?..I am after one of those!!..has to be with the gold coloured edges though!

Anybody know where I can pick one up in the UK?..Any info appreciated..

@andystickyandsweet There are different editions of this boombox: Dynasty (this one), Vela, Breakdancer, Diamond, etc....some have the (golden) rings and some have those black rings like the one I am going to get (Vela edition) :)
