55 grain fmjbt bullets are cheap which is why I was hoping to find a good load for them, however I suspect the batch I have are just low quality and therefor will never be successfully made into accurate ammo.
I have had some good results in the past with 62 grain factory ammo, that stuff would shoot with .308 Win out to 500 yards.

I always just reloaded the 55gr but then I tried the 62gr-75gr and wow the difference was amazing. My colt HBAR 20" loves 69gr sierras.

Yes it does have a 1-7 twist. I have two boxes of 80gr Sierra Match King bullets that I have to try out one of these days.
hows that scope work for ya?

@mark16443 It works pretty well for the money. The eye relief could be a little longer for a more comfortable head position.

I'm guessing the *click* was the two stage trigger?
I also noticed your on target recovery was faster with the 20" barrel, no brainer I know but I've recently acquired a 20" hbar barrel and have yet to send a round anywhere except in the bag I brought them home in.

@deragon76 The lower receiver is equipped with a standard single stage trigger. The click is simply the sound of the trigger resetting when I release the pressure off it after the shot is fired.
The biggest reason I needed less time with the 20" over the 16" is due to the way the optics are mounted. With the 16" the sights are on top of the carry handle which gives a poor cheek weld but the 20" has a flat top so the optic is lower and the cheek weld is much easier and faster to repeat.
