From the Columbia released film of the musical play "1776", this is the scene in which the Continental Congress signs the Declaration of Independence. It's the finale of the film - end titles and music are included. Music by Sherman Edwards.
"1776" starred William Daniels (John Adams), Howard Da Silva (Benjamin Franklin), Ken Howard (Thomas Jefferson), Donald Madden (John Dickinson), David Ford (John Hancock), and John Collum (Edward Rutledge). Both the DVD and the VHS versions are available for purchase at Amazon.com NOTE: There is available a fully restored DIRECTOR'S CUT version, on DVD.
This clip is from my VHS copy that I purchased long ago. :) Copyright now belongs to Sony Pictures, and I'll remove this clip if they want me to - but I think the presence of this clip might increase sales of the DVD, since the film is seldom seen on TV these days. I think it's an excellent, and timeless, film, and probably should be in everyone's collection. Total run time of the film is about 140 minutes.

It was very chilling to hear the bells in the background. The slowness of them and the melancholy remind me of funeral church bells and just realizing these men were putting their lives on the line, everything they had for the creation of a country they weren't sure would exist. It's really hits me as an American that I wouldn't be here without these guys that are considered today as "old white men" Love you John, Thomas, Benjamin, Richard H. Big Thanks!

Yes it is. William Daniels has a wikipedia page. You should look at it. He's also played a few other significant roles in his day.

Everyone blames Washington DC. Don't get it!
We have, in America, a Government that DIRECTLY reflects what the PEOPLE of America have become. Decadent.
Washington will not stay true to our Nation, because the People will not. The People are to ignorant to even begin to run this ONCE Great Nation.
We are merely riding the wave of Liberty our Grandfathers and Grandmothers set free. We, as a People, have FAILED our children and grandchildren. They shall curse our names for being such cowards.

I dare anyone to define "Un-alien-able" with Blacks Old English Dictionary. What would it even mean (Prefix "Un" root "alien" suffix "able")? And in CON-text as "alien" would in no way fit in the Declaration Of Independence. Especially there.
Why don't Americans think?
Harvard or not.

The WORD IS:
It is NOT "un-alien-able" it is in fact, "Unalienable" "Un-a-LIEN-able". That word, "LIEN", matters! It means you cannot put lien to the rights of Americans. Why don't Americans KNOW?
LIEN
1
: a charge upon real or personal property for the satisfaction of some debt or duty ordinarily arising by operation of law
2
: the security interest created by a mortgage
Pretty simple right?
They, "Rights" cannot be borrowed or levied against. But what American knows what that means either?
