  • would this head with a 2x12 mesa rectifier cab be good for bedroom volumes??

  • Yes but it really is at its' best when cranked up a bit,(aren't all amps, though?). Still, it'll retain it's sound just fine at lower volumes.

  • Does this amp has more gain than the Triple XXX?

  • @ChaserHUN: The 3120 is a Tripple XXX with a face lift, EL34 tubes,(instead of stock 6L6's) and improved noise reduction. Likewise, Peavey's new Tripple XXX II is a JSX with a face lift,(due to Satriani no longer being a Peavey endorser). Basically, all of the above are modded versions of the original Tripple XXX.

  • @AnalogKid1001001 Have you seen the new XXX II video on youtube? Killer amp head! Also, what delay pedal are you using and the settings? Thanks!

  • @MultiScoffer Yep, seen it. It's a JSX with a facelift,(same as the 3120 is a XXX with a facelift and different tubes, plus extra noise reduction). Still a great amp!

The delay I'm using in this video is a rack unit - T.C. Electronic M-OneXL. It's what I mainly use for delays and reverb. However, I also have a Line 6 Echo Park delay pedal that I use for analog and tape delays but I haven't used that in any of my vids yet.

  • @AnalogKid1001001 thanks man I think I'll start to save up for this amp! :D

and I suppose for overdriven blues tone you could just put overdrive in the clean channel

  • Your video inspired me to get this amp today. Thanks!

  • @2112guitarplayer : The clean channel is super clean and it takes to overdrive and effects pedals,(such as chorus for Jazz) very nicely. So, if you're asking based on the quality of the clean channel for Blues and Jazz, I'd say yes. I will add, however, that even the Crunch channel is way too overdriven for a deep bluesy type of tone. This is, primarily and Hard Rock/Metal amp.

  • hey I know that this amp is really great for high gain stuff but hows the clean? can it be used for jazz or blues

because if it can that wuoold be amazing!
