NOS Viper vs Supercharged Corvette Street racing

Here are the facts: Corvette was S/C'd as in a Paxton or Vortech (not sure of the brand) and it dynoed that day at about 650whp. The Viper was S/C'd with a Roe S/C basically like a Kennebell, around 650whp. The Viper also had a 100 shot of nitrous. Start was even, the Vette jumped out about 3/4 car length. Viper was slowly pulling but was unsure if he would make up the ground in time so he went ahead and sprayed. Both cars are twin turbo now. Viper is over 1000whp. Vette is now an auto.

Since the Turbo gives more boost than a Supercharger, and a Twin Turbo more than a single Turbo, this would have been an interesting race to see the Vette with a Twin Turbo against this same Viper with NOS.

@zkgpgt04 A "stock" ZR1 comes with a supercharger. A stock Viper doesn't. A ZR1 without it's Supercharger would basically just be a nicer version of the Z06.

Both cars are great cars. If you put a stock ZR1 up against a stock Viper the vette would win. The ZR1 would also dominate a stock viper on the track. I would really also hope S/C viper with NOS could beat a S/C Z06.

I love how the Vette lifts WAY up when he accelerates. And the engine noise is awesome. While the Viper is my favorite, you gotta love a sup'd up Vette!

I wonder what the noticable difference is between a Supercharger and a Twin Turbo system? Also, I wonder how these feel different on a stick versus an automatic?

@tija5 Hope you know that the viper had both blower and nitrous....obviously whoever built their car to be faster breaks the other cars...not one specific vehicle all the time, once you step into modded territory you run what you brung and if you lose you lose, the next day the vette could come back with a 100 shot and you'll have a different race...You people aren't true car enthusiasts if you make ignorant statements about one specific type of car, learn to appreciate all.

@RyderGutierrez LOL okay. Viper destroyed the ZR1's Nurburgring record. And a Viper holds the 1/4 mi drag time for a production car.
