nope... it's pretty much impossible to jump run like that w/o tools cause you have to jump exactly 4 frames before landing each time or you'll lose your speed

you should try beating 261 seconds left on the first level your'e so good.

wow, thank you so much. I always wondered how I could know mario's speed (when it's 49, when it's not, etc). I didn't know that cheat. Thx a lot, dude.

The speed counter goes down 1 every frame mario touches the ground, so as soon as mario's speed goes down on the speed meter, take note of the frame that you are on, and go to the frame 5 frames before the frame that mario slowed down by one. press jump, and now you are able to jump even without seeing mario.

fiat, turbo keys is not how you TAS.

what you need to do is have frame advance and use a "cheat" to see your speed. use snes9x, click cheat, search for new cheats, scroll down to 7E007B and click Watch. This will tell you Mario's speed. His top speed is 49. To maintain 49 you have to let go of the directional arrow at the right frame. Now to why he can jump without seeing Mario.

a turbo key is in a emulator and it just presses the button u set it to each frame

yea you cant see him, but u just have to guess or use a turbo. If the screen doesnt scroll, you've done it right

@bullethead2202: thx for the answer. Uh.. what's a turbo key? Is it a key in the emulator? how does it work?

And btw, between 1:04 and 1:09 you can't see mario, so you can't see when he's going to hit the ground, so you can't press the jump button 4 frames ahead :-s Well, you can try several times randomly and hope to jump correctly once, but...
