Following the public funeral of the late David Thompson, the Cortège processed across the island to his constituency home, the parish of St. John for interment. The family were joined by invited guests, dignitaries, clergy and the massed ranks of the defence and police forces accompanied by band units. David Thompson lay at rest in Barbadian soil, bid farewell by all who loved him.
