I heard that they did have a record kidnapped, but it was another small record label that had funded the band - Flyer Records - that supposedly financed the record that got them signed by Disney. My friend met the Flyer guys at a college conference when they were pushing Alpha Rev - that is how I discovered the band. We can guess who kidnapped the record and I doubt it was the small potatoes label since it appears the band is releasing the same songs that Flyer was pushing back then!
