I got it! When I first saw the movie, I knew nothing about Tintin. Now, I've watched a few episodes, read 2 books, watched a few movies, and did some research, and now that I've watched the opening credits, I can see some hints to the other books (Like the rocket at 2:05 the names of places Tintin has gone to at 1:49 and the logo to the cartoon 1:41 )

Anyone else notice the scene in this where Tintin and Snowy are running in front of a spotlight?
I think this movie owes a LOT to the series (which WAS my childhood)

@bitsy83 i just grabbed the theme from utube, i actually didn't know there was a full-long version like this. Yeah the homages are everywhere in this opening and the film itself. Cant wait for the special dvd release already seen it 3 times at the movies!
