Helping Hands acceptance speech video

"YACHATS HELPING HANDS WINS STATE AWARD

Helping Hands, a youth community service group sponsored by the Yachats Youth & Family Activities Program was recently awarded the 2009 Rural Award of Excellence in the Youth catefory by Rural Development Initiatives. The award honored a "young person or an organization of young people in a rural community who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to community values or have undertaken an important community changing project in the last four years."

The award was presented at the state-wide Regards 2 Rural Conference, attended by over 300 people from all over the state of Oregon. To find out more about Helping Hands, visit their website at http://www.yachatshelpinghands.org ."
