Here is some film of a typical Norwegian dinner. Pinnekjøtt (salted lamb) boiled potatoes, steamed vegetables, mashed rutabegas, gravy (brunsaus) and raspberry flavored Christmas soda to drink (julebrus) We don't eat lamb, so the hostess had prepared kjøttkaker (meatcakes) for us!

  • Salted lamb for christmas DINNER?

  • @Darknessore11 Well, Christmas in Norway is considered to be "lille julaften". On that day we eat dinner in our nicest clothing, and open gifts (Dec. 24) Of course everyone is different what they eat on the Christmas dinner, but my family enjoys salted lamb the most.

  • Pinnekjøtt (Salted lamb) is kinda wierd, because most peope dont eat it on christmas day. But it's more popular during new years eve (and some times in easter)
