Join ADC for Dance Improvisation Labs. Grounded in modern dance technique, this lab class explores improvisation as a performance and theatrical art. The classes are structured for movers of all levels to explore themes such as movement dynamics, playing with props, falling and flying, spacial awareness, and building spontaneous relationships with people, objects, and space. We will begin with a modern dance warm-up, move on to improvisation exercises, and conclude with structured play. Finally, we will end with a feedback session to reflect on and discuss that day's experience. The class is open to all levels -- Dancers | Movers | Actors | Groovers... all encouraged!
