Shoegaze vocals are so soft and buried into the mix that you'd have a hard time understanding the singers in any language.

@Infinitpossibilities I pay attention to the lyrics when the bands/artists actually print them or post them on a site, but if the members say the lyrics aren't important and they keep them intentionally ambiguous, no point in me wasting my time trying to figure them out lol. However, a lot of lyrics usually are there just to compliment the music in a lot of genres, not just shoegaze.

As others have said, vocals are complimentary to the overall sound of shoegaze music. Vocals usually are just there to blend with the song itself, rather than have any real deep introspective meaning or purpose.

what happened to this band? they did one us tour and then they were gone. their myspace page is gone too
