Vegetarian and for the meat lovers!

TastyBistro.com presents the delicious Soy Chorizo Lasagna.

Product Recommendation: Trader Joe's Soy Chorizo
Product Highlight: Herb Keeper (Available on Amazon.com, most department stores)

Ingredients:

12 oz. bag of wide spiral noodles (or any other choice of noodle you desire)
12 oz. of Soy Chorizo (Trader Joes) or any other meat substitute
3 Cups of shredded Pepper Jack Cheese
1/3 Cup of Herbs (Rosemary, Basil and Sage mix)
1 Cup of chopped Shallots
2 Cups of finely chopped Portabella Mushrooms
1 Cup of Ricotta
1 Cup of Parmesan

Sauce:
3 Cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
(2) Knorr Dry Pasta Sauce Packets, (your choice to mix between Garlic and Herb, Four Cheese or Alfredo)
2 Tbl. of Butter

Have noodles already prepared by boiling them in water with a splash of Olive Oil, Salt and Garlic Powder.

Have your sauce already prepared. I've made mine with Heavy Whipping Cream, but you can use milk if desired.

Then layer your pan with just a touch of your sauce, spread a layer of most of your noodles, layer your Jack Cheese, (leaving a little for garnish), Flatten your dish with a spatula, add 1 1/4 Cups of your pre-made sauce, layer your herbs, layer your chorizo, flatten, layer your mushroom, onion, parmesan cheese, ricotta, remaining noodles, and remaining sauce. Garnish with remaining herbs.

  • Yum. I love watching you Lenore...you are a natural. I could watch you bake for hours. I do, however, feel a little gypped because I don't get to see you dig in at the end. If you would bake it and add the finished product to the end, time lapsed of course, I would at least feel as if I got the satisfaction of you eating it, even if I can't ;)

    Nice work, keep it up.

  • Hey good point!! We originally had that in the first video, but we had to tape again to try to make it shorter. That part got left out!!!! But soooooo glad you liked it otherwise!! Will try to eat more grub on camera in the future!!!
