If it was real explosion, the aluminum foil would be in pieces. what you heard was the sound of electricity rushing through the aluminum foil and the camera exaggerates the sound. @SASNIGHTCRAWLER I dont think it would work without a magnet inside. I havent tried it. i used 400 volt from 12000 uf capacitor, but i didnt charge it to its full capacitance. I charged maybe 1/4 of the total uf. i used direct current through the aluminum, arching from negative to positive. When you arc around the magnet, it creates opposing magnetic fields and the whole thing jumps up. I think UFO uses two strong opposing forces to propel itself just like my experiment.
