um...if you're so mad that they used chinese people to play japanese, why aren't you mad when they use american actors to play british people, or british actors to play French people. And don't you just "hate" when the AMERICAN Audrey hepburn played a....omg :O....RUSSIAN person in War and Peace *dun dun dunnnn* So you see, it's really easy to say somethings wrong but when you really look at it, what you said is dumb. Actors need pretend all the time, it their JOB.

You looked a bit too far into a harmless comment there. I don't like that they cast her because she has a Chinese accent. It throws off the fantasy their trying to weave for the story. That's my complaint. Not the fact that she is Chinese. If she could imitate a Japanese accent, I wouldn't have minded or cared. Or even noticed really. And you're right; actors are paid to pretend to be someone else...convincingly. Zhang Ziyi is a great actress, but wasn't convincing as a Japanese girl.

@dridner Audrey Hepburn wasn't American. Her father was British her mother was Dutch and she herself was born in Europe.
