as far as concern sexual reproduction is costly and I do like not muller ratchet as explanation to over come the cost because it seem does not work. the Amoeba only reproduces asexual and has genome larger than a humans. under muller theory the amoeba should evolve sexual reproduction but has not.
By the way, the reason most Christian get in is tizzy over evo (not YOU, the theory) is that while it doesn't bring god into question, it most certainly brings THEIR IDEA of god into question. Once you have to turn to Metaphorical Jesus, why stop at evo? Is the resurrection a metaphor? I guess SOME Christians say it is. I sympathize with the clear majority, who don't. After all, if THAT part is "metaphor", then what's the point, really? No "victory over death"? Ha! Sell that to the masses.
As soon as someone starts "asking questions" which they think cast doubt on evolution, it's a completely fair assumption that they nothing but arguments from ignorance and personal incredulity. Like you said, the SCIENCE is out there and has been for a long time. No creationist has EVER presented a "problem" here on YouTube that was not long ago explained by biology, genetics, chemistry, embryology, geology, paleontology, etc.
