Yes, several Republican politicians have already argued that, proving they don't understand the Constitution they're sworn to uphold, and have no business being in office.
But not all Republicans have their heads that far up their asses, and I really can't believe the sensible, moderate ones haven't told the loonie ones to knock it off with the bullshit. They'll score cheap political points for a couple of days, but in the long run their party will lose all credibility.
